feeling extra blessed today for these 2 crazy babies. i am so lucky to be their mama

toes

jags and i were going to lunch/playdate. the kid hates wearing shoes. he'll decide he doesn't want to go somewhere based on if i make him wear shoes or not. we were driving not even 10 minutes away and the second we got in the car he asked if he could take his shoes off
'mama me take my shoes off?'
'no babe were almost there!'
'k i not me take my shoes off'

i looked back and snapped this.

ombré

last night hubs and i went to dinner and brought back the leftovers for the kids. you would have thought it was their first and last meal. ever. i snapped this beauty and laughed so hard at my poor kids hair. i have no idea why he got so blonde just on the top. at least he rocks the new ombré trend. it makes for one proud daddy ;)

how awful is ry? he NEVER takes pictures with me. to get these i had to throw a little bit of a fit. i just asked him to smile with me. this is what i get. weirdo.

and then came up and told on himself.

as i was telling him we don't bite

he stuck his hand down my shirt and said- 'mama's boobies!!'

he dropped the f bomb

my sweet little boy said the mother of all words. my dad and ry have the worst potty mouths. my dad thought it would be funny to say the f bomb right in front of jags since he's been quite the parrot lately. we didn't really think he would repeat it. sure enough a couple days later, he did. i was dying. i was laughing so hard { i know bad mom award. again }

jags and i were driving around running errands on my day off last week and we pulled into the driveway once we were all done and i unbuckled him out of his car seat. he walked up to crawl over my seat and stepped on the armrest, spilled my dr. pepper on his leg and said- 'oooohhh fuhhhh'

but it wasn't censored.

one of my friends said it sounded just like ralphie in a christmas story haha ;)

jagger has the best way of pronouncing words.

it's so hard to understrand what he says

but the f word is clear as day.

i had to pre-apologize to his sweetest babysitter just incase he decided to

show off his new word in front of his friends at

grandma kerris.

then this morning i woke up to his cute little face.

i said good morning and asked how he slept.

he looks at me, pats his diaper bum and says

'i shit'

2 year olds are the best ;)

summer.loving

this summer has been absolutely amazing. we've been camping. to lagoon. the pool. late nights in the front yard with a snow shack. learning to ride bikes :) eating popsicles. we've been to parades. draper days. barbeques. weddings! family reunions to come. and then we're going to minnesota in a couple weeks!! {without jags. thankfully ;) } i really don't want summer to end :( i feel like it went by sooo fast. school stuff is already out!

my sister is in lake powell and i'm so jealous. i love that place. i told hubs today that one day we'll have our own houseboat and go every other week in the summer ;) he liked that idea. we leave to go camping again tomorrow. i can't wait. there's nothing like getting away and not having a care in the world.

we've gone to lagoon 4 times so far! and my little babe is getting so brave!!

was amazing!! it was so pretty. and she looked amazingly gorgeous

they're coming to minnesota with us in a couple of weeks!

i have known maddie since she was tiny! we have an annual barbeque

at a family friends house before the 4th. there is always so much food

jag loves to help out in the garage with anything he can

and i think he's caused 2 flat tires on my car and then my parents

truck from playing with screws. he like to put them places where they shouldn't be.

case and point. this is where i found him this morning. it's so hard

to get me.kennedy. and jagger all ready and out of the house.

i swear it takes forever. i was doing kennedy's hair and noticed it

was too quiet. i went to find jagger and this is where he was. he is

obsessed with connors 4 wheeler.

me and my favorite neice in the whole wide world!! i stole her from her mom

and took her to the pool and then draper days with me. and she even had a sleepover :)

she told me i'm her favorite aunt ;)

she loves me so much. she didn't leave my sight the whole time i had her.

i told my mom if it was guaranteed that i could get a little girl that loved me like berklee does- i'd get pregnant today. my luck i'd get twin boys ;)

sweet sweet { baby }

i have been dreading this post. it is so hard to write about how old your kids are getting. day to day they grow like crazy. but, it's when it gets to their birthday, when it really hits you.

jagger turns 1 tomorrow. i know everyone says it, but where does the time go?? it feels like yesterday that i was in the hospital having him. i remember the first time i saw that chubby little boy. i instantly fell in love with him. i will never forget what i felt at that moment. a love for someone you just barely met but was so real and so amazing. i love you little man and will do anything for you. i decided every year i'm going to write my kids a letter that they will have to look back on and have.

i love you. i can't believe you are one. i didn't think this day would come so fast. you are quite the amazing one year old!! you have accomplished so much in just a short time. i couldn't be more proud to call you mine. you are such an amazing little boy. there is not one day that goes by that i don't squeeze your chubby little self and tell you how much i love you. you are just so calm {like your daddy} i wouldn't change anything about you. i even love how you took 11 whole months to sleep through the night. you definitely love your bottles. i love how you would find them in your crib and get so excited, like it was your first and last baba ever. you have always done things so early with little practice. rolling over, sitting up, holding your own bottle, crawling, pulling yourself up, and climbing on everything. my favorite thing- when i tell you to say 'mama' and you say it then scrunch your nose so all we can see are your cute spongebob teeth and you laugh because you think it's so funny. you can say 'dada' 'mama' and you love to shake your head from side to side when we tell you 'no no'

you love your daddy more than me but i'm ok with that. he is such an amazing daddy to you. you two will be the best of friends and i can't wait to see you guys grow older together. the excitement you have when you see him melts my heart. you love your big sister so much. i love to watch you watch her with everything she does. i love to watch you sleep. you always sleep on your belly with your cute bum in the air. i haven't ever known any baby to always sleep like that. your favorite thing in the whole world is your blankey. it accidentially got left at our house by your friend, max, and you claimed as yours. you always chew the corners and you can definitely tell. that blanket is so gross. we wash it all the time but for some reason it always is so gross! you usually wake up around 7 and will patiently in your crib and play with the bedding and talk to yourself until i come in and get you. you are always so excited to see me in the morning. it's the best 'good morning' i could ever ask for. you're not quite walking yet. you just love to be held forever and ever. i don't mind holding you all the time. {until i start to get sore :)} you have 10 teeth already. i couldn't believe when i felt your gums 3 days ago i could feel 2 molars. you are growing up so fast little man. oh how you love to eat. early on you didn't love your baby food, you wanted to eat what everyone else was eating. so that's what we gave you :) you are such a big boy and we wouldn't want you any other way! last time you were at the doctors you weighed 24 pounds and 7 ounces. your chubbiness is one of the cutest things about you. i love you forever and ever and can't wait to see what this next year holds for you. you are so loved by everyone around you. you make me one proud mama.
